Regina Rogers

Regina is an attorney and tireless advocate for children and families. Regina was the first female regent of Lamar University and a member of the Texas College and University System Coordinating Board for six years where she served as Chairman of the committee for Minority Education, implementing programs to increase admissions and retention of minority students and also hiring of minority faculty in colleges and universities throughout Texas.

Regina co-founded the I Have a Dream program in honor of her father Ben Rogers that has provided mentoring, guidance and college scholarships to 400 academically talented students; established the Julie Rogers Gift of Life Program, which provides free mammograms and prostate cancer screenings throughout Southeast Texas; and heads the faith-based Coalition for Mutual Respect through the Anti-Defamation League.

In 1997, Rogers and her mother Julie established the Inspire, Encourage and Achieve program which provides support, counseling and compassion to young people in the juvenile justice system.
