April
- May: Cover the Uninsured Week

|
Nearly 46 million Americans, including 9
million children, are living without health insurance - forced
to gamble every day that they won't get sick or injured. Just
one serious illness or injury can wipe out an uninsured family's
bank account, and the problem is getting worse.
That is why CDF continues to partner with the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation for Cover the Uninsured Week. Every year
thousands of individuals and organizations from many sectors
of society mobilize to plan activities and to tell Congress
that health care coverage must be top priority.
Look for CDF's CHIP/Medicaid community billboards generously
sponsored by Clear Channel Outdoor throughout the month of April. |
January
- May: CDF Texas Lobby Days when Texas Legislature is in Session |
June:
CDF Stand for Children Day |
July:
Annual Proctor Institute and YALT
(Young Adult Leadership Training) |

ministry bringing hope and healing to congregations standing
for healthy children at the historic CDF Haley Farm
in Clinton, Tennessee. All Beat the Odds scholarship
recipients are invited to attend this special leadership training
seminar for an opportunity to re-unite with BTO youth and other
student leaders from across the country. |

back to school.
