Established in 1999, our Houston
office works to secure a Healthy Start
and a Fair Start for children and
access to affordable health coverage through CHIP and Children's
Medicaid.
CDF spearheaded the Insure Texas Kids
Campaign in collaboration with the Texas CHIP Coalition,
mobilizing regional coordinators across the state to advocate
for and restore the Texas CHIP program.
For over three years, CDF Houston led the 650
member, 16 county, Gulf Coast CHIP Coalition
to mobilize key community, faith, business, health and media
partners to enroll more than 90,000 Harris County children in
affordable health coverage. |
