Kelli King-Jackson

Texas Director of Outreach

Kelli King-Jackson serves as Texas Director of Outreach and manages CDF's 100% Campaign, a collaboration with the Houston Independent School Disrict and Houston hospitals to identify uninsured children through school enrollment forms and link them with affordable health coverage.

Under Kelli's leadership, the campaign has gained the attention of America's Promise Alliance, the American Association of School Administrators and Leadership Houston, which honored CDF with its 2009 Leadership in Action Award.

Kelli is currently working to expand the successful 100% Campaign model to school districts statewide.

Kelli joined CDF-TX from CDF-CA where she was second in command, and gained experience in working with diverse community, health and faith leaders to advance CDF’s agenda.

Kelli is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Education from UCLA and is completing her dissertation, “African American Students Bearing Witness to Community Involvement in Urban Education.” Kelli also holds a B.A. in Sociology from New York University.
