top priority is access to health care for Texas children. Through

CDF leads statewide advocacy efforts to connect Texas children
to primary care resources.
Did

Texas
has the highest rate of uninsured children in the nation.
Of
the 1.5 million uninsured Texas children, more than half are
eligible for, but not enrolled, in CHIP or Children's Medicaid.

90% of uninsured children have at least one parent working
full-time.
According
to the Texas Department of Insurance, the average cost of
private family health coverage is $11,000 a year, or $917
