Events Nationwide Focus on Getting All Children Enrolled in Health Coverage

HOUSTON, TX–On Tuesday, August 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Roosevelt Elementary School in Houston, the Children’s Defense Fund will join the Houston Independent School District and health and business leaders for a Report to the Community to announce first year successes of the 100% Campaign. The 100% Campaign represents a partnership with HISD to link every uninsured student with affordable health coverage through the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Children’s Medicaid and is funded by the generous support of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, and Texas Children’s Hospital / Texas Children’s Health Plan / Texas Children’s Pediatric Associates.
