Christina was born three months premature with severe physical disabilities. She spent a year in the hospital and the next eight years with a live-in nurse and daily physical therapy. Because of a tracheotomy, she had difficulty breathing and did not speak until age five. She communicated in sign language and used oxygen until age eight. She has had to work harder than most kids to achieve small successes. She is a gifted writer with a passion for writing tween/teen novels and recently completed her studies in Journalism at the University of Houston.
