Olga Gabriel serves as Development and Community Relations
Specialist for CDF RGV. She joined CDF in 2001 and recently
returned after a two year absence where she served as District
Director for U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett.
Olga received her Master of Public Health degree from Texas
A&M University with a concentration in Administration and
Community Health. She has over 15 years experience in non-profit
organizations including opening school-based health clinics,
as a Health Educator and a Grant Writer for a non-profit hospital.
While at CDF, Olga directed a three-year children’s health
coverage research project that resulted in a 70% decrease in
emergency room visits. She developed and co-chaired the Coalition
for Valley Families Financial Literacy Task Force (coordinated
by CDF RGV) and was recently appointed by the Mayor of McAllen
to the McAllen Community Development Block Grant Board.
She is a successful business owner and serves as an Adjunct
Professor in the Health & Kinesiology Department of the
University of Texas Pan American.
