Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in downtown Houston is hosting a 20th anniversary Children’s Sabbath celebration on Sunday, October 23, 2011 with a special service at 3:30pm.  Sponsored by CDF-Texas, the event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Every third weekend in October, the CDF National Observance of Children’s Sabbaths® Weekend unites congregations of every faith in reflection, prayer and advocacy for our nation’s children.

By participating in this inspiring weekend, you will be part of a powerful, diverse, multi-faith voice for children in Texas. Through worship, educational programs and congregational activities, you can reaffirm your commitment to children, while inspiring fellow congregants, friends and neighbors to take action to meet the needs of children.

At the annual presentation audiences have learned about the urgent needs facing our children through creative musical performances featuring local children.
