Join a CHIP Coalition

CDF-Texas has previously chaired and currently participates in both the Gulf Coast CHIP Coalition in Houston and the Rio Grande Valley CHIP Coalition in McAllen. Both coalitions represent regional arms of the statewide Texas CHIP Coalition in Austin, and promote awareness and access for both the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Children's Medicaid through community outreach, education and coordinated legislative advocacy.

The coalitions meet quarterly to discuss policy and programming matters of interest to the community. Public participation is vital to the ongoing success of these initiatives and attendance is open to any interested person or agency.
